Now a lot of you may be thinking; "I would love to do a triathlon, but I'm a little unsure about how to go about it and how to raise money." We'll, put your worries aside, because Sportsvibe have found the organisation for you. Tri For Life.
The brain child of the late Harvey Selby, Tri For Life allows you to take on the ultimate physical challenge, whilst raising funds for four major charities. This year money will be raised for: Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, Whizz-Kidz, Rays of Sunshine and Breakthrough.
Tri For Life is not just your standard Triathlon, though. It offers people the chance to tackle different levels of competition, ranging from short, medium and long distance triathlon, to duathlons and a Scootathlons for kids aged 4 to 8.
It is an organisation for all the family. Everyone can get can get involved and take the opportunity to raise money for those who really need it.
Since it's inception, Tri For Life has raised over £550,000, with the 2010 race raising £260,000 alone. With every competitor raising the minimum £200 required to enter, this year promises to be bigger and better than ever.
It really is a fantastic way to raise money for a noble cause and test yourself physically as well. Sportsvibe urge you to register, get down to Dorney Lake on Sunday July 10th and do your bit.
