Martin Corry played for Newcastle Gosforth and Bristol before joining Leicester Tigers in 1997, where he won five Premiership trophies and two Heineken Cups.
On the international stage, Corry’s career is also impressive. He was a member of England’s 2003 World Cup winning squad and a runner-up in the 2007 finals. Corry was also part of the 2001 and 2005 British and Irish Lions tours to Australia and New Zealand respectively.
‘I think England will beat New Zealand in an unbelievably tight contest by maybe three points in a game that will go down to the wire. Despite the All Blacks playing Australia it is still the first game of the tour for New Zealand so it is the best time to play them as they will only get better. No one is giving England a chance but manager Martin Johnson and captain Lewis Moody will tell the boys to go out and prove everyone wrong.’

Mr Betdaq
Although New Zealand were defeated in the dying minutes against the Aussies 24 points to 26, I have to disagree with Martin and back the away side to win against England this weekend. The defeat will have damaged the All Backs’ aura of invincibility, though, which is exactly what Martin Johnson will be using to mentally prepare his troops for the showdown at Twickenham.
However, if we take a closer examination at the New Zealand loss in Hong Kong it is clear that a combination of a few uncharacteristic slip-ups and some outstanding pressure towards the end of the match won it for the Wallabies. Unfortunately for England, The All-Blacks are unlikely to make the same mistakes again on Saturday afternoon, even if England do apply the pressure.
Martin Johnson’s team are without Jonny Wilkinson, while Riki Flutey has failed to recover from his calf injury. That means England will likely give the number ten jersey to Toby Flood and start Bath’s Shontayne Hape at centre.
Defeat against the Wallabies will have wounded the pride of the proud All Blacks and they will be looking for a quick response with Twickenham offering the ideal backdrop. The All Blacks have also won the last eight tests against England and I expect them to add to their impressive run.
