Forget the socks this Christmas, Cancer Research UK has launched a limited edition Bobby Moore gold-plated iPod Touch. It's a cracker of a gift, and it's hoped sales will raise over £15,000 for the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK, which raises vital funds for bowel cancer research and awareness of the disease.
Available from www.goldgenie.com/bobbymoore, the Bobby Moore gold plated iPod Touch is £264.50 for the 8GB, £356.50 for the 32GB and £433.81 for the 64GB with 10 per cent of the sale price going to Cancer Research UK. Each iPod is laser engraved with Bobby Moore’s signature and the Bobby Moore Fund logo, featuring the iconic image of England’s only World Cup winning captain lifting the trophy on the back.
Also available is the Bobby Moore iPod Nano in red, similarly laser engraved with Bobby Moore’s signature and the Bobby Moore Fund logo on the back at £164.65 for the 8GB and £192.05 for the 16GB with 12.5 per cent of the sale price going to Cancer Research UK.
To date, the Bobby Moore Fund has raised over £12 million for dedicated bowel cancer research. The funds are spent on high-quality bowel cancer research carried out by leading scientists working across the UK. The money raised to date has funded over 36 Bobby Moore Research Fellowships and three additional research projects.
