A Great Day at the Leuka Mini Masters

LeukaMiniMasters11701 300x201

It was fun, golf and drinks all round at the Duke's Meadows golf course in Chiswick the other day where Sportsvibe were guests at the Leuka Mini Masters Golf day hosted by Hollywood actor Dougray Scott.

Devised by Dougray and Dan Davies and designed to raise money for Leuka, the charity that raises funds for research into leukaemia and other blood disorders, the Mini Masters is now into its fourth year and as each year passes so the cast list grows.

This time we had from the world of sport England rugby stars Danny Care, Nick Easter and Delon Armitage, former javelin star Steve Backley, England cricketer Darren Gough and former football legends Ray Wilkins and Gianlucca Vialli, and from the world of entertainmnet Scott, James Nesbitt, Chris ("Bridesmaids") O'Dowd, JJ Feild, Richard Bacon, Gabby Logan and Jamie Theakston.

The golf, on a testing course, was a little up and down, but it was a taste of the future - golf, live music, drinks on course, a great deal of laughs and spectators - an ideal, corporate mix.

If you fancied a tipple you could imbibe in some Jaegermeister, Mohito, beer and Moet and Chandon champagne while enjoying a massage and a large, double bed courtesy of the Mayfair Hotel - all during your round.

You can see a number of films from the day with some of the big names on Sportsvibe this week and the next two weeks. You can be sure we will be back next year, and maybe even playing a round ourselves!
