Never mind a bit of Fry and Laurie, how about Fry and Brawn? Nick Fry and Ross Brawn were on good form on Saturday night in Monza where they hosted a barbecue for the British media on the roof of the Mercedes home in the paddock. Surprisingly, for two such Formula one buffs, the moment when the conversation became most passionate was when it switched to football, with Brawn still reeling from discovering that his beloved Manchester United were two goals up at Everton as the game reached 90 minutes, only to end up drawing. Fry, an ardent Fulham fan, who was there alongside Hugh Grant as the Cottagers lost the Europa Final last May, had a different view of late, late goals after Fulham came from behind to beat Wolves with a 91st minute winner from Doussa Dembele. "I seem to remember Fulham scored a late, late equaliser against Man U, too, a fortnight ago," Fry reminded a grim-faced Brawn, who had a better day today with both drivers, Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher, scoring points.
