Ian Stafford is a Pervert, But Not This Ian Stafford!

  There was a time when if you googled Ian Stafford - me, in other words - that you received information regarding a sports writer, author and broadcaster and now, of course, editor of this very fine online sports magazine. True, there were one or two other Ian Staffords around -  a pigeon expert, a golf pro, a UK Sports coach, a contributor to Indo-Pacific ichthyology (!!!), a senior manager in the NHS and so on - but I was the number one Ian Stafford on goggle, or at least I was. It's not that I mind another Ian Stafford superceding me. After all, this Ian Stafford was a twice elected mayor of the Lancashire town of Preesall. However, he was also caught breaking into people's homes, stealing knickers and performing sex acts last February, all caught on CCTV. It's not good news for him. He's currently serving a two-year prison sentence. And it's not great news for me, either, because when you google my name these days you're as likely to read "Panty Pervert," "Today's Moron" and "Knicker Nicker" as you are Sports Writer, Sports Author or Sports Broadcaster. So, in tribute to the 59-year-old ex-Mayor, I publish his photo and ask, without any bias at all, if you'd let this man into your house, let alone into your drawers?
