Cleverly In World Title Talks

Welsh boxer Nathan Cleverly has confirmed that he has entered into preliminary discussions with WBA light-heavyweight champion Juergen Braehmer over a potential bout.  The former world champion was on the verge of retiring from the sport after losing to bitter rival Tony Bellew in November, with the fight a rematch between the two.

Nathan Cleverly Wants World Title Fight

Nathan Cleverly has claimed that he is hoping for a shot at the cruiserweight world title should he successfully negotiate his rematch with bitter rival Tony Bellew.  The Welsh fighter has already beaten Saturday’s opponent once in 2011, retaining his WBO light-heavyweight title before losing it to Sergey Kovalev in 2013.

Carl Froch Ready To Retire

British boxer Carl Froch has admitted that he is prepared to retire should he not manage to secure his dream Las Vegas fight.  The WBA and IBF super-middleweight champion has not taken to the ring since his famous Wembley rematch with fellow Brit George Groves, a fight that was attended by an 80,000-strong crowd.
