Tyson Fury has pulled out of his fight with Alexander Ustinov tonight after his uncle was taken ill.  The boxer was set to take on the Russian after his original opponent, Dereck Chisora, pulled out of the scheduled bout after fracturing his hand whilst sparring with Ustinov.  According to the Daily Mail, Fury’s camp have made the decision to withdraw the 6ft 9in fighter after his uncle and former trainer, Hughie, was taken seriously ill this morning.

George Groves has objected to the second referee choice for this weekend’s Wembley showdown with Carl Froch, after Froch’s promoter Eddie Hearn already turned down David Reiss.  Groves has taken issue with the appointment of Charlie Fitch and has launched an appeal to have the man-in-the-middle switched again.  According to the Daily Mail, it is doubtful that the appeal will be successful so close to the fight.
