David Haye urged WBC champ Vitali Klitschko to accept his proposal for a fight or he will be remembered as a boxer who fought nobodies.
Haye lost his WBA crown to Vitali’s younger brother, Wladimir, in Hamberg last year although the Brit maintains he was suffering from a broken toe which hampered his performance.
The Hayemaker, who recently went on reality TV-show “I’m a celebrity, get me out of here”, wants one more fight before taking retirement.
Haye said, “I always assumed he was quite a proud man and wanted to leave some sort of legacy behind, which he won’t do at the moment, because, can you think of any big fighters Vitali has fought?
“He’s had 50 fights against nobodies. The only fight of his that people remember is the one against Lennox Lewis — which he lost.
“He needs a fight people will actually remember — and the only recognised heavyweight out there is myself.”
