Benitez: Three Match Ban Is Enough Punishment For Hazard

Chelsea manager Rafa Benitez believes that the three-match ban following Eden Hazard’s red card in the ball boy incident is punishment enough.

Although the FA deemed the ban “clearly insufficient”, Benitez believes that losing him for three games will punish both player and club.

"For a player that was in a cup competition, with this intensity and in the way that things are going on, I think that a three-game ban is enough."

"I have a lot of images but I think that, for a professional, and for the club, we have already lost the player at the end of the game, we will lose the player at least for three games. I think it's enough."

Benitez also shrugged off yet more abuse from Chelsea fans who chanted “You don’t know what you’re doing” during his side’s 2-2 draw at Brentford.

"I have said before that I am just concentrating on my job. I try to stay really focused and I can guarantee Juan Mata changed the game when he came on," he said.

"The club said they wanted a manager with experience and I will try to do my job."
