Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is set to make an audacious summer move for Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri.
According to reports in French paper L'Equipe, Nasri has become frustrated with the lack of silverware at the Emirates.
The 23-year-old signed for Arsenal from Mareille in 2008 and has now entered the last 12 months of his current deal with the north London outfit.
Having yet put pen to paper on a new contract with the Gunners, there has been plenty of speculation around where Nasri will be plying his trade next season.
Italian giants AC Milan and Inter Milan have been linked with moves for the attacking midfielder over the past couple of weeks.
However Ferguson has become an unlikely candidate trying the pursue the French international to Old Trafford.
The United manager has been linked with moves for Tottenham's Luka Modric and Inter Milan's Wesley Sneijder as long-term replacements for Paul Scholes, but it now seems Ferguson has set his sights on the Arsenal midfielder.
Nasri who could go for in the region of £20million was voted by his peers as the second best player of the season in the Premier League.
This season Nasri made 46 appearances, scoring 15 goals and proving four assists in all competitions.
