Turkish champions Galatasaray could make a move for Southampton midfielder Gaston Ramirez in January, according to reports.
Ramirez has struggled to break into the Southampton team under Mauricio Pochettino despite impressing in his first season at the club.
He scored five goals in 26 appearances during the 2012/13 Premier League season but has been restricted to just four substitute appearances this time around.
The Daily Mail report that Galatasaray will be looking to take advantage of his lack of playing time and make an offer when the transfer window reopens.
Ramirez’ agent, Pablo Betancourt, recently revealed his player’s dislike of the Southampton manager.
“Gaston really likes the chairman, Nicola Cortese, but not the coach, Pochettino,” said Betancourt.
When asked why Ramirez has been excluded from his Southampton squad, Pochettino refused to talk about individual players, saying he picks the squad based on what he thinks is the best side available to him.
“I don't want to speak publicly about individual players,” said Pochettino.
“I don't think that's fair.
“I just make decisions on what is the best thing for the club, the team. I just make decisions based on training and sports factors.”
Southampton have started well this season, currently sitting in fifth place after nine games.
