Liverpool Eye Jack Butland As Pepe Reina Heads For Anfield Exit

With Arsenal said to be readying a bid for Pepe Reina Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is set to bid for young goalkeepers Jack Butland and Robert Zieler.

It is thought that Rodgers has been unsure over Reina since he arrived at Anfield and his form this season has convinced him that he should move him on and bring in a long-term replacement according to the Daily Mail.

The Liverpool boss was close to bidding for Butland in the summer but held off but he is now ready to bring the 19 year old to Merseyside and potentially give him the number one jersey. He is also interested in the highly rate Hannover goalkeeper who has a £12 million buy out clause, if he cannot prise Butland away from Birmingham.

Zieler has already played 70 time for Hannover and earned himself two caps for the German national side.
