Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly a big admirer of Manchester United's controversial youngster Ravel Morrison and could enter the race for his signature.
According to the Daily Mirror, Wenger is aware of the huge potential of Morrison, who is being labelled as the outstanding prospect of his generation and seen comparisons at United to Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs.
The 18-year-old's contract runs out at the end of the season and it appears he will be heading for the Old Trafford exit after failing to agree new terms.
Sir Alex Ferguson revealed: "We have offered him terms, which he has refused. His demands are unrealistic.
"His agent has been working hard to get him another club."
Interest is widespread in Morrison; Newcastle have already had a £500,000 bid rejected while reports in Spain claim Barcelona are considering an approach.
The Mirror claim Wenger's interest has been welcomed by the midfielder, who would consider a switch to north London.
Despite his enormous talent, Morrison's attitude and discipline have been called into question.
He has been in trouble with the law and was sentenced to a 12-month referral order having pleaded guilty to witness intimidation. He also received a £600 fine for throwing his girlfriend's phone out of a window during an argument.
Despite his the controversy surrounding him, his talent means clubs appear willing to take a gamble.
