Melbourne Rebels and England rugby player Danny Cipriani is once again turning heads after taking part in training with Major League Soccer side Colorado Rapids.
The 22-year-old has spent much of the summer training with different football teams and in recent weeks has spent time with both Tottenham and Queens Park Rangers.
Cipriani is due to head to Australia in the coming weeks to join up with his Rebels teammates but the American side are convinced that his stay is more than just a short holiday.
The fly-half was a talented footballer who played junior football for QPR and was offered youth terms by Reading. However, he rejected the advances and turned his attention to football.
Having trained with the Colorado squad, it seems Cipriani has made quite an impression and the club's coaching staff believe he could be interested in a permanent deal.
"He is keen to explore opportunities in soccer in general and with the Rapids in particular," The Rapids' communication manager Jason Gilham told The Times.
"I think he is looking at that possibility," added Gilham when questioned if Cipriani was looking to secure a permanent contract. "It is something that is being looked at from both sides."
However, Rebels coach Rod Macqueen still expects to see Cipriani make his move to Australia on October 1. "He is absolutely on board. We have seen no evidence to say that he is not coming. We are expecting him in about three weeks."
