England captain Andrew Strauss has announced that he will be sitting out the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh. The Middlesex opener feels he needs a rest after a hard, but successful 18 months where England reclaimed the Ashes, and battled to a series draw in South Africa.
But is this decision disrespectful to Bangladesh? Would Strauss have taken a break if the series was against the likes of Pakistan or India?
Is this a mistake from the selectors, or does Strauss deserves a rest with the World Cup and Ashes fast approaching?
