Tottenham defender Younes Kaboul has been a key memeber of Harry Redknapp’s high flying Spurs who are currently third in the Premiership level on points with Manchester United and only three points behind league leaders Manchester City.
If Tottenham are able to beat Wolves at White Hart Lane on Saturday they could go joint top for a least two days until Manchester City travel to Wigan for the Monday night game.
One player that has been pivotal to Tottenham’s success this season is Kaboul. The France international has only missed the two games this campaign against Sunderland and Chelsea.
He has played alongside Ledley King, William Gallas, Sebastian Bassong and Michael Dawson at the back for Spurs this season, and has helped keep eight clean sheets so far, the same total for the whole of last term, and that’s been a important factor making Tottenham Premiership contenders.
Speaking to Goal.com, Kaboul said: “Step by step we have been achieving our goals. Now we’re there and we have our chance to fight for everything in the Premier League, but we must continue with the humility and ongoing work we have developed so far,
“Our challenge was and is to go into the Champions League positions, but we will not stop fighting for greater goals. The team has ambition and I hope things continue this way until the end of season,
“Do we have a serious chance to win the league? Right now, if we look at the table, we have the same chance as City and United.”
