The 23-year-old has been in sensational form this season, finding the net 22 times in just 26 appearances in all competitions to help his side to the top of Ligue One. The France international also helped himself to a double Sunday night as Lyon beat Toulouse 3-0 at home.

Lacazette has previously talked up his desire to move to England should the chance arrive, but the Express have reported that his side are not prepared to part with their star attraction.

Manchester City have also been linked with a move for the clinical forward, and talk has suggested that Manuel Pellegrini could look to bring him to the Etihad along with new recruit Wilfried Bony.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has denied reports suggesting that they have opened talks with City, and insisted that their man is going nowhere.
åÊ
He said: ÛÏI don’t think there will be any movement for [Lacazette]. Our goal is to become a top European club in the next give years, and that’s why we don’t want to sellåÊhim.
åÊ
“I spoke with Man City, but it was about other topics and not a transfer. There will be no departures in the winter and I also think the same in the summer.”
