For every coach, finding the easiest way to evaluate your pupil’s efforts during a training session is of the highest priority. Watching and training a number of people at the same time can make it hard to help advise individuals as to how they can improve, what they need to do to progress their ability and put them on their way to become the next Jimmy Anderson or Stuart Broad.

åÊ

Thanks to the release of Twenty20‰Ûªs new coaching app, the ability to evaluate your performance has become easier than ever. Finally released on iTunes, the clever app now allows you to give constructive feedback to bowlers,åÊ analysing exactly where they have pitched the ball, and their consistency with hitting that all important line and length.

åÊ

After creating a session, you can create a number of profiles for the bowlers, and after each ball pitched you can select on the wicket exactly where the bowler had pitched the delivery. Once saved, you can continue to do this for a number of balls, which then allows you to evaluate each delivery together as a whole.

åÊ

Once all saved, you can move on to the analysis section, which allows you to cycle through a number of different statistics for your deliveries. Starting with the length of the balls bowled, you can look through the percentages of short, good, full and Yorker balls sent down to the bowler, along with the data from the line of your bowling.

åÊ

The app is no doubt going to change the way coaches approach training sessions, and the programme can also be used during a match to help evaluate what needs to change, and what was impressive during the fielding innings.

åÊ

The ability to e-mail each session will also be a major advantage, allowing a bowlers ability to be demonstrated to those who can‰Ûªt attend the sessions or potential new sides hoping to secure the signing of a talented seamer or spinner.

åÊ

With its impressive range and outstanding precision, the app could soon be a fixture at numerous levels of the cricketing pyramid.
