Bayliss: England Must Attack To Win T20 World Cup
England coach Trevor Bayliss has admitted that his side must take the game to their opponents if they are to win the World Twenty20 tournament.
åÊ
The Australian coach watched in horror as his side suffered an embarrassing defeat to South Africa in the second T20 clash, with his men losing their last six wickets for just nine runs.
åÊ
That defeat came by nine wickets, despite England initially looking like they would register a huge score. South AfricaÛªs 2-0 series win in the shortest format of the game dented confidence ahead of the World Cup in India, and Bayliss admits things must change in order for his side to prove a success.

He told Sky Sports: “I can guarantee you one thing, the team that wins the World Twenty20 will be the boldest team there.
åÊ
“They will be the team that goes out and plays good, positive, aggressive cricket.
“If we go out and try to be too nice, or if we give that advantage away or are not as positive and aggressive as we have been when we have played well and won, then we will still not win – because there will be teams out there with the confidence, players and ability to go out and play that way.”

With the likes of Alex Hales, Jason Roy and skipper Eoin Morgan in their side, England have plenty of attack-minded batsman to call upon. They may have the talent, but it comes down to producing it on the day, which as we all know, is not something the side do in major tournaments.

England were eliminated from the Cricket World Cup last year without even making it past the group stage.
