Sport Social launches as the first voice-activated Premier League content service for smart speakers

Sport Social is about to launch as a new smart speaker content service to provide the latest news from all 20 Premier League clubs for the upcoming 2019/20 season. Launched by Voiceworks, a voice-first agency focused on innovative technology and content solutions for the digital assistant marketplace, Sport Social is the first of its kind to provide human voiced in-depth news updates on the Premier League through smart speaker devices including the Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, and will also be available on smartphones worldwide, When launched, Sport Social will offer Premier League fans around 150 updates on the competition each week.

Over a third of smart speaker users are asking for sport content to be made more available on their devices, which is the gap Sport Social aims to fill by providing fans across the world with to access premium audio content in the form of short daily updates, specific to their favourite Premier League club. Brought to you by a real, professional in-house team of journalists and broadcasters in place of the traditional T2S robotic voice usually heard on smart speakers, the types of content will include team line ups, post-match reviews for every Premier League game, and daily podcasts, covering all the latest news from the world’s most popular football league. This new service will be available on demand from August 10th – the start of the new Premier League season – allowing fans to access their updates wherever and whenever they want.

By simply using the phrase “open Sport Social”, smart speaker owners will be granted access to the world of Sport Social and able to tailor content to their own desires. As well as this, the daily podcast will invite football experts onto the show to discuss the biggest news from the Premier League that day, with full match reviews available just one hour after a game has concluded.

Sport Social will launch on August 10th to coincide with the beginning of the Premier League season.
