On 29th September Ayla Golf Club, set within Ayla Oasis, will see Jordan’s first and only grass golf course, designed by Greg Norman, host the start of the autumn series of MENA Tour’s Journey to Jordan.

Ayla Golf Club located on the Red Sea coast and the City of Aqaba; Jordan will host 79 golf professionals from 24 countries as they compete for a single prize fund of $100,000.

The golf course which has received huge acclaim since opening its door in September 2016 will host the MENA Tour professional golf tournament for the fifth time in just three short years. This will also be the second tournament in three of the MENA Tours 2019 schedules, as players compete in the Journey to Jordan Order of Merit and the Tour Final in late November.

The 2019 Journey to Jordan schedule began in January with two weeks of Tour Qualifying School, immediately followed by the first event of the new season in February. The tour moved around the MENA region before players took a summer break to compete in other global tournaments. It is with great excitement that the tour returns to Aqaba. It’s the perfect location for Journey to Jordan to return, with over 800,000 square meters of rolling green fairways and Aqaba’s stunning mountains as a backdrop.

Part of a game-changing waterfront destination, Ayla Oasis, situated along Jordan’s Red Sea coast, provides the perfect base for a holiday.  Visitors can also enjoy water sport thrills at the B12 Beach Club, which comes complete with Jordan’s first cable wake park and a secure sea-water lagoon perfect for swimming and light water sports. Other sporting activities include football pitches, basketball, tennis courts and Jordan’s first and only Wakeboard park.

For those who prefer to relax, a stay at the Hyatt Regency Aqaba is the perfect setting, with 286 rooms which each enjoy a private terrace or balcony with spectacular views over the lagoons, mountains or marina. There’s also the Aqua Spa, featuring an authentic Turkish Hamman, yoga garden and outdoor spa pool, plus a selection of pools to relax around.
