Hagley West welcomes investors for latest funding round
Legendary cricketer Chris Gayle has stepped-up to the crease and backed new watch brand, Hagley West. The timepiece start-up has already caught the eye of multiple investors, after becoming the fastest-ever fully-funded Quartz Fashion watch business thanks to its efforts via Crowdcube that saw it beat the milestone in just eight hours.
Its latest funding round, which closes on Wednesday 18 December, will enable Hagley West to facilitate its ambitious plans to offer high-quality, affordable watches to the global marketplace, via the world’s second most followed sport, cricket. The game’s 2.5 billion global fans will no-doubt know of Hagley West’s latest partner Chris Gayle – affectionately known as ‘The Universe Boss’.
Alongside Gayle, a strong line-up of cricketing partners has been secured, such as JP Duminy, Carlos Brathwaite and Tino Best among others, all of which were attracted to the business by its contemporary styling, keen pricing structure and cricketing associations of the senior management team.
